Anotation:
Many approaches on disparities among countries and regions can be found (i.e.:[12], [22]). One of these is to measure citizen involvement in public issues which is often used to benchmark civil society maturity of given country. However, we should not stay to keep a view on the citizen involvement only, the perspective on conditions created for such involvement by municipality is also necessary. Methods of this municipality support are the subject of presented work. The text follows on papers (i.e: [1], [19], [21]) presented in the frame of „Research for regional disparities solution” project and provides a new research direction; mainly deals with analysis of research data basis facilitating more detailed investigations in municipality management disparities. Research is concentrated on gathering data from municipalities’ web presentations in individual regions, sub regions and smaller areas and its comparisons as well as individual municipalities itself. Focus is given to municipalities located in NUTS II – North East which comprises three regions –Liberec, Hradec Králové and Pardubice. The paper goal is especially: (1) outline data basis for subsequent content analysis realization; (2) clarify reliability of collected data; and (3) obtain basic quantitative data on information provided by municipality to citizens in municipality www (primarily accessibility and up-to-dateness of records of municipality local authority/council meetings, municipality magazines, and information about non-governmental associations. Characteristics of gathered data are considered as substantial findings of presented paper. Testing of null hypothesis on ? = 0.05 significance level of own research coders results and Czech Statistics Office results correspondence could not be rejected. Hypothesis was accepted in important majority of districts, in all assessed regions as well as in whole region NUTS II.
