Genetické algoritmy

Genetic algorithms have been gaining increased attention the past few years because of their versatility and are being applied in several different fields of study. Our aim here is to outline the fundamentals of genetic algorithms and to demonstrate their basic principles step by step on a simple example. In order to explain their functioning rigorously we will present the so called schema theorem. Finally, we will briefly look at some interesting applications and references to allow readers to broaden their knowledge in the field.
