Anotation:
The paper shows specialities of logistics in small and middle firms. The small and middle firms usually do not have specialized and trained staff in the field of logistics management. This fact can lead to erroneous decisions, increased logistic costs and low quality of customer services. The knowledge of fundamental logistic principles is therefore important also for small and middle firms. The small and middle companies can be involved in supply chains as providers of some special logistic services for big companies. The outsourcing is an important factor for increasing of competitive level for the small and middle firms.
