The Škoda Auto College was established in the year 2000 as a new project. It is a private tertiary-level non-university school with a trade-specific academic bachelor program of Economics and Management. Standard duration of the studies is three and a half years. The admission examination for the academic year of 2000/2001 took place in September 2000. The written admission examination had two parts: examination in mathematics, and the English or German language. The final results indicated that the success of the applicants was dependent on the type of a secondary school they graduated from. The Grammar School graduates were the most successful at the examination at both the mathematics and the foreign languages. Then followed in a descending order the graduates from Commercial Schools, Industrial Schools and other schools.
