Anotation:
The social and cultural characteristics of the population is important. The Ústí Region has the lowest proportion of inhabitants with university education, however, during the transformation the unfavorable difference was also decreasing in comparison with the Czech Republic in the age groups of 25 - 29 and 30 - 34 years of age unlike the groups of 35 - 39 and 40 - 44 years of age in which the difference between the Ústí Region and the Czech Republic or the Liberec Region is the largest.
